CREATING QUALITY EFFECTIVE SCHOOL – A Student’s view point
The vision of an excellent school, a place in which the parents, students, teachers and
members of the community enjoy oneness, would be determined primarily by the kind of ethos it
reflects. The school should have the child as focus and the process must include reference to the
four basic factors, viz.
1. The teacher
2. The learner
3. The subject matter
4. The content / setting
The endeavour would be to hire and train the best of teachers for the purpose of attaining our
objectives. The learner, who is the focus of all educational process, must be helped to develop into
a citizen who is ambitious yet concerned about others, able to rationalize and reason out things
yet be sensitive to others’ needs. He should be proud of his success yet be able to tackle failure
in the right spirit and look at them as an opportunity to learn from mistakes. It is also necessary to
help the learner be in tune with the latest developments in the field of technology yet be prepared
to work with his hands. This can be achieved by imparting a fine tuned subject matter, both within
and beyond the classroom situations. A teacher here, plays a pivotal role in shaping the destiny of
the students. For any institution, to attain the above, we need to create the right setting. Education
being a dynamic process should look at alternatives and methods for constantly improving the
process and the product.
It is in this endeavour to improve the process and product that the “Kola Perumal Chetty Vaishnav
Senior Secondary School” constantly brings innovation without losing sight of old practices. “Bal
Brindavan” putting together the creative talent of the students and their actions, activities and
achievements is one such attempt again. It creates a constancy of purpose towards improvement
and reaffirms team effort to achieve specific goals in the years to come.
