REGIONAL LEVEL C.B.S.E. SCIENCE EXHIBITION - 2007

MAHARISHI VIDYA MANDIR SR. SECONDARY SCHOOL, CHETPET, CHENNAI-31 played host to the two days CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition for CBSE schools on 20th and 21st August, 2007. Seventy-three schools with 119 projects were exhibited by the students of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka. The students demonstrated their scientific skills in each and every aspect of the topic SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT with sub-themes such as food and agriculture, industry and environment, energy, educational technology, mathematical modelling and transport and communication.The objectives of the exhibition were to promote scientific temper, create awareness for achieving goals of self reliance and socio-economic development, to highlight the applications of scientific concept and technological advancements, to produce quality material, importance of the subject matter in national development with global changes and to kindle the curiosity and interest in the subject. Putting in tireless efforts of realizing the goal has been the hallmark of success today.

THE BEST FIFTEEN EXHIBITS/MODELS made their headway to participate in the National Level Science Exhibition.
As the host school, the best support service system in each and every aspect of the exhibition extended by our institution in a planned and judicious manner speak about the highest degree of managerial skills in core areas as provision of boarding and lodging facilities, free food arrangements, best amenities, display boards, preparation of invitation and thank you cards, badges and banners, circulars, media report/photograph, front office and housekeeping, mementoes, external and interior decoration, office staff, volunteers and excellent security personnel.
A total number of 40 schools with 12500 Students, Parents along with Teacher Representatives visited the school from different regions in and around Chennai .Our school was appreciated for the active co-ordination and sincere efforts taken by the inmates for providing the best support system and amenities at macro level. Thus, the exhibition came to a close on a highly successful note with broader scientific values and scientific attitudes.
